Update on the shooting at Hoyt / Schermerhorn

MARCH 14 -- Another tragic shooting has occurred within the subway system. Gunfire broke out aboard a Northbound A train in the conductor's car. Thankfully, the train crew emerged physically unharmed from the ordeal. Upon learning of the incident, Division Chair Jonluke Rodriguez, along with union representatives Ernest Boyce and Denise Long, immediately mobilized response efforts.

Currently, the train crew is receiving medical attention at the hospital, accompanied by Vice Chair Brian Davis and Union Rep Ernest Boyce. VP Canella Gomez has consulted with both the NYPD and MTA Management to gather essential details and headed to the hospital, hoping to piece together the events leading up to this troubling incident.

"Our members understand the system better than anyone," emphasized President Richard Davis. "We need to enhance our collaboration with law enforcement moving forward.

"RTO Vice President Canella Gomez further asserts, "All law enforcement resources should be deployed on the platforms and in front of conductor cabs."
