MTA Approves Contract
Local 100 also will publicize those details in the coming weeks. Two greatly improved benefits are in effect right now: expanded maternity leave and paternity leave. Contract implementation updates will be posted on the union website – twulocal100.org – and Social Media. The independent American Arbitration Association carried out the mailing and counting of ballots for the ratification. AAA announced the vote tally on Monday: 68.75% voted “Yes” and 31.25% voted “No.” The agreement includes nearly 10% raises over three years; medical coverage for the widows, widowers, and children of our COVID-19 victims; and more money from the MTA to improve dental and vision care.
