THURSDAY, OCTOBER 7, BROOKLYN -- Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge Gustin Reichbach handed down a verdict of guilty on the most serious count he was considering, murder in the second degree, against Horace Moore, the 22 year old man who stabbed Bus Operator Edwin Thomas to death on his B46 bus in December of 2008. Moore is scheduled to be sentenced on October 19th. The count carries a penalty of between 15 years to life and 25 years to life, according to Brooklyn Assistant...
Bus Operator Jackie Neal from Kingsbridge Depot was among the Local 100 members laid off by the MTA. She thanks Local 100 for voting to approve the Solidarity Fund which pays for her healthcare to continue during these difficult times.
Nine years after the events of 9/11, TWU Local 100 Recording Secretary Benita Johnson, representing the Local, spoke movingly about her thoughts on that fateful day and the heroic response of transit workers.
